Review by hotel critic
During my recent culinary escapade at Hotel Gyokusen, I found myself thoroughly captivated by the understated brilliance of their dining options. My three-night stay granted me the opportunity to indulge in Japanese cuisine infused with modern touches. Each evening, in a quaint private dining room, I enjoyed a different multi-course dinner, where the gentle taste of dishes finished with apples and onions truly stood out. One evening, I savored a unique pudding, its strong sweetness harmonizing beautifully with kelp from Hidaka, Hokkaido. The ambiance was serene, perfectly complementing each meal. Breakfast was a delightful buffet, offering a variety of options that could easily pair with my morning coffee. For those who appreciate culinary depth and tasteful innovation, a few days here could showcase the richness of traditional Japanese fare without overwhelming the senses. If you’re in the area, Gyokusen definitely merits consideration.
